SLA Networks partners Citrix XenServer
December 2007
SLA Networks, announces a partnership with Citrix XenServer to sell the full range of its virtualisation products to the Irish market. Citrix is the only company in the world offering a comprehensive application delivery infrastructure, leveraging server, application and desktop virtualisation to make the entire IT infrastructure far more flexible and dynamic. SLA Networks is targeting the thousands of Irish SMEs that finally have access to virtualisation.
It has signed up to Data Solutions' Jump Start program, receiving EUR125,00 in technical, sales and marketing support to develop a sales channel for Citrix XenServer virtualisation in Ireland. Citrix XenServer is the latest addition to SLA growing range of ICT solutions.
Virtualisation technology is one of the fastest growing areas in information technologies. Previously, the competing solutions have been expensive and only feasible to large enterprises and big businesses. Citrix XenServer now brings the technology to medium-sized businesses as the pricing is at level that SMEs can afford.
Nic Stirk, CEO, SLA, said, "The acquisition of XenSource by Citrix means that the virtualisation market finally has a strong alternative that is open, proven and supported by one of the most successful software vendors in the world. The amalgamation of these two industry innovators, spurred our
decision to enter the virtualisation market. SLA Networks continually strives to reduce the total cost of ownership, increase flexibility of mission critical processes and bring the most responsive service and product offerings to our customers."
Michael O'Hara, managing director, Data Solutions, said, "SLA Networks proved to be a perfect fit for our 'Jump Start' program. As Citrix XenServer is chasing a sizeable share of the Irish virtualisation market, partnering with Northern Ireland's most progressive and fastest growing technology company is a big step forward in achieving this goal."
