Owen Lamont
Owen is non-exec Chairman of Stirk Lamont Associates. With more than 30 years experience in the ICT sector both at home and internationally (UK, Ireland, US and Canada) Owen is one of Northern Ireland 's true serial entrepreneurs. Owen has an impressive track record within Telecoms and Technology Corporate Finance including mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
Owen previously founded gem (the global e-mail company) and held the post of Managing Director of ntl Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Other roles include Deputy Group Managing Director of Videotron, London, General Manager BT Paging, BT International, BT Mobile Data - London and Leeds (with BT board appointments in BT cellular ventures in South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Portugal and Poland ) - 1989-1991; President and CEO of CTG inc. Toronto, Canada 1986-1988 and Managing Director of GEC Reliance, Wellingborough 1983-1986.
Owen is a past President of the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry; a Former Board member of Invest Northern Ireland (Northern Ireland Government's inward investment agency) and a past winner of the prestigious IOD's award for Industry in Northern Ireland (2002).
Owen co-founded the company in October 2003 with Nic Stirk.
